The business simulation Bridge-it is a wonderful vehicle for discussing and experiencing project management. The setup of Bridge-it contains a complete series of projects with a rising scale of difficulty. Furthermore, participants must incorporate the project results into a running business. A running business for which the project results cannot come quickly enough in order to achieve its operating targets, but that suffers from them at the same time. It suffers from them because they are 'over the wall', 'just too late', 'too expensive', 'don't quite fit', and because annoying but essential repair and finishing activities are required.
Bridge-it is frequently used to help organizations think about managing projects and programs in a more general sense, separately from any type of project management method. Besides being able to apply the method, project managers and team members must have skills and experience in terms of group dynamics, conflict management and leadership. In other words... they need to learn to sail in stormy weather!

The A Heart Effort questions and answers game was developed to get participants talking about a specific subject concerning their work and the organization in which they function. We use sets of questions geared specifically to the subject. The refined game design stimulates participants to discuss themes from a number of angles, to look for differences, to avoid socially desirable answers and to provide concrete examples from daily practice.
A Heart Effort is extremely suitable as a quick scan or kick-off at the start of a change process.
Results:
- A Heart Effort provides important and concrete input for improvement projects
- A Heart Effort breaks through standard patterns for meetings and consultations
- A Heart Effort helps participants discuss topics freely
- A Heart Effort confronts participants with one another’s concerns, wishes and ideas
- A Heart Effort stimulates participants to let go of obvious solutions and viewpoints
